Following up on October's talk on Perryville, November's installment examines the December 1862-January 1863 battle of Stone's River, Tennessee. Stone's River is considered a draw, though the Union's repulse of two major Confederate attacks and the subsequent Southern withdrawl provided a much needed boost to Union morale.
