Meet and Greet: Appalachian Thru-Hiker Bob Grau

Event Type: Adults
Date: 9/24/2013
Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 8:30 PM
Meet and greet Bob Grau, a thru-hiker and retired business administration professor, had no hiking experience or gear, when he decided to attempt to thru-hike the entire length of the Appalachian Trail, a distance of 2,181 miles.

During the last 380 miles of very treacherous terrain in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and in Maine, Bob was not deterred as he hiked with a broken ankle. After you hear his story of determination, you’ll have a real appreciation of his remarkable effort on his journey of hope!

A book sale and signing of his book “Five Million Steps on a Journey of Hope” will be held after the program.
